Skype Lets People Invite Non-Users to Conversations

Skype today made it possible for users to invite anyone — including those who do no have Skype accounts — to participate in text and video conversations. Invites to individual or group conversations are shared via link, and can be sent through email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, or any other app. This new Skype feature is available to Skype for Windows, Mac, and the web on desktops to start. People who've downloaded Skype to their iPhone or Android handsets can also join conversations via invites even if they haven't sent up an account. Skype said the new feature is avail be in the U.S. and U.K. first, and will be rolled out to other regions over time.
