Cricket Wireless today added more data to some of its service plans without upping the price. The $30 entry-level still offers only 1 GB of data per month. Moving forward, the $40 plan improves from 2.5 GB per month to 3 GB per month, the $50 plan improves from 5 GB to 8 GB, and the $60 plan improves from 10 GB to 12 GB. The $70 plan continues to offer unlimited data. The $40-$70 plans are each eligible for a $5 monthly discount when customers enroll in auto-pay. Cricket caps data speeds at 8 Mbps. Cricket is also offering a number of discounts on select handsets. For example, the Alcatel Streak, Samsung Galaxy Amp 2, ZTE Sonata 3, and the LG Spree are all free to those who port their number to Cricket. Cricket says other smartphone deals are available throughout tax season.

What about increasing data speeds and lowering latency!?

What about increasing data speeds and lowering latency!?
Unfortunately, both of these features are not on their list of priorities for us Cricket customers. Since we're not post-paid, they would rather give more data than lifting the data speed cap and latency issues.
I dont know what the latency is on Cricket, but the 4mbps HSPA and 8mbps LTE connection is decent, and usually maxes out due to it being so low and easily network sustainable - it would be nice to see them raise it up to 10mbps and 15mbps
