Sprint Offers Free Access To Desktop Email
Nov 30, 2006, 3:28 PM by (staff)
Sprint today launched an email client for select handsets that will allow users to check mail from popular web-based services as well POP and IMAP inboxes. The application will give users access to multiple email accounts in a single client. It is capable of push new messages to the phone when they are received, similar to what Blackberry or the Sidekick can do with regular internet mail accounts. Users will be able to read as well as compose messages for any account, even if they are working online underground or on a plane. The client is a free download for Vision subscribers with a select group of Sprint and Nextel handsets. Sprint says compatibility with additional handsets will come in the near future.
