Plantronics has updated its lineup of Bluetooth headphones with new true wireless options plus better battery life. The lineup includes a "My Tap" feature, which offers command customization via the companion app. Users can begin their favorite playlist, set a timer, and interval train with a single tap.
- BackBeat PRO 5100: These true wireless buds for "people who lead a connected lifestyle and need to maximize productivity" feature four noise-canceling mics, WindSmart technology that tunes out background noise, and noise-isolating eartips. Each earbud can carry a charge of up to six and a half hours plus an additional 13 hours with the charging case. $170.
- BackBeat FIT 3150: True wireless buds optimized for urban running, with an over-the-ear loop. They're similar to last year's 3100 model, but with 60% more battery life. The new buds themselves last for 8 hours, while the charging case adds another 16, for 24 total hours of battery life. Like the 3100 they replace, they're rated IP57 waterproof and include Always Aware ear tips that allow in ambient sounds for safer training. $150.
- BackBeat FIT 3200: These variants of the 3150 swap the Always Aware ear tips for noise isolating eartips and an "Awareness" mode, giving users the flexibility to hear their surroundings only when they want to. $150.
- BackBeat FIT 6100: These full-size over-the-head cans offer 40mm angled drivers, noise-isolating earcups with Awareness mode, up to 24-hour battery life, and are rated IPX5. $180.
