Huawei to Offer Android Handsets this Year

Speaking in an interview with Reuters, Edward Chen, head of Huawei's devices unit, said that the company plans to offer two or three phones running the Android platform by the end of 2009, with more to follow in 2010. Huawei is also considering the use of Symbian from the Symbian Foundation in future phones. Huawei also said that it plans to introduce phones running Long Term Evolution by late 2009 / early 2010.
