Cricket Wireless has won a trademark infringement lawsuit against GSM Cellular in Arizona. According to Cricket, GSM Cellular mislead consumers to believe that its retail stores were affiliated with Cricket. The company went so far as to use Cricket's logo and even named itself "Kricket." GSM Cellular also illegally sold and distributed Cricket wireless products; initiated unauthorized activation of phones on the Cricket wireless network; and fraudulently accepted customer payments meant for Cricket Wireless. Cricket was awarded a summary judgment against GSM Cellular, which must also reimburse Cricket $78,000 in attorney fees.
