Samsung today announced that it has called upon fashion designer Giorgio Armani to sculpt a special edition of Samsung's Galaxy S Android smartphone. In addition to adding his own design cues to the hardware, Armani also inspired some of the menus, which Samsung has revised with his changes. According to Samsung, the Armani Galaxy S has exclusive fonts, content, animations and ringtones. The device, which has quad-band GSM/EDGE but only tri-band 900/1900/2100MHz HDSPA, goes on sale in select markets later this year, with a global launch expected in 2011.

Wow and update from Samsung?

Wowie,

Samsung FINALLY does an update and....
is it a new version of Android? no...
does it fix the GPS? no.....
does it remove the system choking bloatware touchwiz? no......

It's a new barbie accessory, a fashion toy, an Armani phone.

May be they can release a Dolce Grabanna gold one next.

The android version may be old, the gps doesn't work, but hey I look *really good*
This phone just going to make you look really stupid! paid overpriced and still getting the garbage gps!
