Mobile Google News Becomes Location Aware

Google today announced that the mobile version of Google News has become location aware and will now display "news near you" on select smartphones. The feature is opt-in, and dials in user location information to seek out and provide news relevant to that user's locale. Google says it carefully combs news stories for local details to best match the results with a user's location. The feature is available to iPhone and Android users, and can be turned on/off at any time.

Who else thought of Skynet?!?

So when I opened up PS I only briefly glimpsed the headline. All I saw was "Google" and "becomes aware" and I literally had a shiver go down my spine! LOL!
Haha, I did the same thing 🤣

Hey!!! It's nice to see someone new on Phone Scoop!

Cool username. Are you going to get the Star Wars box set on Blu-Ray when it comes out 9/16? I've got mine preordered on Amazon, only $90 for the 9-disc set.
