Rediculous claims.
Either way, all it will take to win this is taking an iphone...playing with it, using it for a few days and then testing a Nokia and the victor will be clear. Honestly, why did it take 3 years to make these claims and how can Nokia possibly have a patent on something phones universally need to have to operate on GSM? Isn't that technically trying to create a monopoly?
I doubt Nokia and their army of attorneys filed suit without merit. Nokia is not known for frivolous lawsuits. If Nokia became aware of patent infringement they had a duty to protect their rights.

There's always someone who holds the patent.
They are suing because Apple didn't purchase the rights to use the technology like every other cellphone producer.
