AT&T Announces LTE Equipment Suppliers
Backwards Compatibility...
It's a subject not really discussed much... Looks like AT&T 4G devices will be backwards compatible... Question is... will the competition... Cause if theirs isn't, then is it really a competition? Feedback please...

Remember how everyone's been dogging AT&T for not doing anything that looked like actively looking at LTE? This seems like pretty decent progression to me.
Doesn't mean anything coming from AT&T. Whether they upgrade or not, they will still have bad press about their network.
They only rushing their LTE installs, cause Verizon said they are way ahead of AT&T, and will have LTE by 2011.

Well hey, 2011 is a whole, whole lot better thyan 2012/2013 and so on. Like ATT's CTO said, once they are done with adding 3x more fiber optic to the cell sites, they will be ready capacity wise for LTE, so...here it is.
