Google's interest was to have a say in the iPhone ecosystem. Apple isn't that stupid. Apple isn't screwing over Google, they just stopped Google from trying to screw Apple over.
2) Apple isn't blocking 3rd party advertisers - they aren't mandating people use iAds.
3) Cry me a river - Google seems to be fine with double standards as long as they benefit Google. It's fine for Google to screw over a platform partner as it's Google being "open." Ask Yahoo! how that went.
