Apple Blames iPhone 4 Reception Issue on Faulty Formula
Is it just me....
I mean i see them admiting to "bad math" but that's it. Everything else is fine and when they fix the issue with this update you going to be able to see more acuretly how bad your coverage is.
I know someone is going to call me a troll but this to me looks like the blame game.
Actually Verizon drops from 3G to 1x more than AT&T dropped from 3G to EDGE. I'm no fanboy, I'm an hon...

HERE'S THE FULL STATEMENT FROM APPLE
The iPhone 4 has been the most successful product launch in Apple's history. It has been judged by reviewers around the world to be the best smartphone ever, and users have told us that they love it. So we were surprised when we read reports of reception problems, and we immediately began investigating them. Here is what we have learned.
To start with, gripping almost any mobile phone in certain ways will reduce its reception by 1 or more bars. This is true of iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, as well as many Droid, Nokia and RIM phones. By contrast, The Nexus One and Palm Pre will slide off, dropping under 1mbps and eventually to nothing. (It's worth noting that I have yet to get either the Nexus One or Palm Pre to pull in anything above 2mbps here.) I can make the Nexus One lose signal by holding it at the bottom as well, although the key difference is that on the iPhone 4 it is liter...

I Just Had A Casablanca Flashback
"I'm Shocked! Shocked, to discover gambling is going on here."
Immediately thereafter, a croupier hands him his winnings.
I'm honestly a little disappointed with this whole situation. One way or the other Apple hasn't been up-front about the antenna issue.
This statement pretty much asserts that they have been tinkering with the signal bars on top ...
