Google Says No Honeycomb for Smartphones

WELL THEN......

This is a big letdown oh well should have been expected.
Why is it a big letdown for you? Honeycomb was designed for tablet/pad-type devices and not for phones. I am waiting for Gingerbread because FroYo is 100% GARBAGE.
Tell me how "this is a big let down"? So what if honeycomb is not coming to smartphones in this iteration? It would be idiotic to assume footprint would stop developing android for smartphones in favor of tablets. We haven't even got 2.3 on most devic...

I'm not let down. I've seen Honeycomb in action, and it would be a disaster on anything smaller than a tablet. One of the great things that Honeycomb will bring is support for dual-core hardware and apps that want to take advantage of dual-core device...

Not yet at least...thanks to XDA

Someone will manage to port this and cook it into a Rom. I give it 6 months ha ha

I'm still waiting...

For 2.2 to come out for the Samsung Epic. I guess the only way to get it is to root my phone because either Samsung or Sprint are dragging their asses..
Have you looked online for any unofficial ROMs or anything like that? Your phone has to be rooted to install such a ROM but many a times third party ROMs are cleaner and more efficient than the official ones.
