CAN NOT do backslash

i work for an indirect agent and we have just recently had customers tell us that there is no way to do a backslash on this phone. you can do a forward slash but no backslash. i investigated this and i have not figured it out yet. so if anyone knows how to do this or a way around it please let us know? and i assume that by downloading an differant keyboard from the marketplace would remedy this situation but we do not have an active commando to try that on.

So...

Why not get a good smartphone with plenty of signal on Big Reds network and put it in a friggin' Otter Box?

This phone makes absolutely no sense to me.

"I have a phone that doesn't get signal very well on Verizon's network, so I can barely go online with it unless there's wifi in the wilderness ... but, I can take pictures and then go to starbucks after the hike and upload them onto my facebook."

Get a droid, or a fascinate ... and an OTTER BOX! seriously.
Even with an otterbox, those phones wouldn't even be considered water "resistant" let alone waterproof

Hmmm...

According to the reviewer, poor signal capability (so it frequently lost signal of even the mighty Verizon network), and lousy sound (so the reviewer had to keep asking callers to repeat their words).

This is what we call a "non-phone".

Big Time Major Snafu

According to the specs listed on this Phone Scoop web site, the speaker phone is the old technology of only half-duplex. If this is accurate, the phone is virtually useless. You cannot carry on a conversation when you and the person on the other end are continually getting pieces of your conversation chopped off. The G'zOne Ravine is full-duplex. Is the G'zOne Commando a step backwards?
Full-duplex is, of course, better. However, speaking from experience trying a lot of speakerphones, I can tell you that a good half-duplex speakerphone an be almost as good as full-duplex, depending on the noise environment (and/or noise suppre...

guts from HTC Merge in rugged body

I just did a compare on this site
for the HTC Merge and this phone.
Same processor specs,
but the merge is a world phone,
the Commando is not.

Still its nice.
and 800mhz is pretty good for speed.

I likey dis android phone.
