Verizon Adjusts Privacy Policy, Now Collecting Customer Data

I don't know how this is even legal. What if I don't want to be bothered by Verizon's marketing partners to sell me more stuff. Certainly the Rolls-Royce of the cell phone industry makes more than enough money on their plans/services. They are, by far, the most expensive carrier in the U.S. You would think something like this comes out of Boost Mobile or MetroPCS not Verizon. Look for everyone else to follow suit now. Nice.

THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AROUND NOW FOR OTHER PLANS WITH OTHER COMPANIES AS MY CONTRACT WITH THEM EXPIRED. I PAY $69.99 AND THATS FOR NO DATA AND NO MESSAGING OR TEXTING. WITH TAXES=85 FOR NOTHING BUT NATIONWIDE UNLIMITED THREE WAY CALLING AND CALL WAITING. TOTAL RIP OFF!!

Really this can be any corporation not just VZ. But, we use EasyPass, BankCards, computers and other data devices all day and we bitch little about this. Use a bank card to charge a coffee or food, or groceries, they know exactly what you bought. Never mind with EasyPass, they know where you are and how fast. This is not much different.

Verizon wireless isn't collecting more information than they used to. They always had it What's different now is how they intend to use it. What's important for customers to realize is that none of the information in the reports is "personally identifiable".
It's similar to how the news outlets report voter results. They have data that so many people said they voted for candidate X, but the data does not show the names of individual voters.

You act like their going to sell your soul. Info like this has always been shared. The internet is full of things like this. Even yahoo, gmail, msn, ,aol, etc... has been doing this for a while so please don't act like this is new. There is always ways out of things like this. If u don't like it then get prepaid. More then likely this will carry over to other carriers too. And don't rely too much in the government because after a few years they are going to want this info also. Regardless of how you feel everything is always looked at and viewed by someone so stop B!TCHING. Get a land-line phone. This is what you should expect when technology grows.

Simple solution is leave or get prepaid. I pay for the service and have no problem doing so. It's expensive, so what? I have had ONE issue with a Verizon bill and yet it was fixed within a day or two. You have a problem there are others choices. 🙄
