Has Anyone Else Wondered this?
Why Verizon is suddenly snatching up 1700/2100 spectrum shortly after it seemed likely the T-Mobile/ATT deal was about to crumble? I know most say that it's so Verizon could build out their LTE network but..... Could it be they are gobbling it all up to "sweeten the pot" to encourage Vodafone to sell their share of the VZW joint venture, buyout T-Mobile USA and give them them the spectrum as an added bonus to get rid of them once and for all from their unfavorable 55/45 % joint venture position?? Most people seem to forget they were trying to eat up ATT wireless a few years back and would sell their stake in the process but now i'm wondering if this is a calculated move on their end. Vodafone seems to be inclined to have one brand all over...

I opposed this merger from day one. I left AT&T for T-Mobile in November of 2011 for a better deal & better data rates. Only a few short months after my changeover the merger was announced & I was like "your kidding me". What I want to know now is...does anyone know the time frame on when I will be able to openly roam on AT&T's network? I know the cancellation fee is $3 billion cash money & $1 billion in spectrum...but how soon do T-Mobile customers get to see this benefit?

I think there was a long line of people who said it would not be allowed by the FCC or the DoJ since the buyout was announced and for the very reasons given.
