Sprint in New Jersey

I'm looking at possibly moving to Sprint, not because of their call plans, but because I'm thinking of a Sanyo phone and they're the only carrier with Sanyo.

Can anyone advise how good or bad Sprint is in Northern NJ and NY.

Thanks

Thanks, judog2g

I'm also Essex County. Funny what you said about verizon and cingular, though - I now have Cingular and had been thinking of moving to Verizon since my wife and daughter are there and I'd combine all in a Family Plan - but I didn't like verizon's phones and did like the sanyo phones at sprint. At least it's good to hear the service at Sprint has gotten better.

I'm from NJ originally. I currently live in Charlotte, NC. I was a store manager with Radioshack(RT 22 echo plaza, RT 22 union), I have had sprint as well as verizon.Sold them both too. I Never had a problem with Sprint in Essex county(E.O., Newark, Irvington, etc) or any where in Jersey(except that one bar in bellevile that nobody got service in). Personally I prefer Sprint. If you want better phones and technology get sprint. If want a more relaible network get verizon. Verizon offers similar options to sprint, but are usually behind as far as making them available. For instance Sprint came out with PCS to PCS call almost 2 years before verizons InNetwork. Sprints 3g Services are more user friendly than verizon. Verizons customer service ...

I have a service company and had switch all our service from Nextel that I was with for 11 years. The switch to sprint was the best thing that we could have done. Our savings was about 1/3rd less than Nextel. We are located in central NJ and have never had a problemwith Sprint. With Sprint You are using 3G CDMA Tech at a fraction of the price of verizon. From a business standpoint Sprint is your best answer. But do yourself a favor stay away from cingular att and T mobil there GSM network works great in Europe but in the US there is just not enough towers to make your calls and the quality of the call to keep you satisfied. Just my opinion

I've had Sprint for 5 years now and travel between jersey and ny every other week. No problems thus far and I have the sanyo 7400. Sprint offers the no roaming plan free now so if you roam you'll be using verizons towers if you roam so you should be ok. And if you have verizon still switch...sprint has the best phones. 😉
