I love you all and I pray you hear me, it appears nextel18 is correct and I have no doubts that nextel18 does care about his company and he enjoys his service, but what you are both failing to realize is that MOTOROLA MAKES CRAPPY PHONES...I dont care if its iden or qchat put it in a moto and it sux and wont work, its how they say putting a silk hat on a pig, sprextel should use nokia and samsung exclusively and they could dominate, I work for cingular and I dread every customer who says I have a moto...If we only carried nokia and samsung that would rock, even better if it was only NOKIA WHICH I HAVE USED EXCLUSIVELY SINCE TRYING ALL PHONE MAKERS A FEW YEARS AGO AND NOKIA IS FAR AND AWAY THE BEST, I KNOW HOW TO USE A CELL AND DONT NEED A FL...

um i never said moto was good. i whole heartedly agree moto sucks.

but i do have to tell you in cdma sanyo is the best. J D Power and associates agrees. samsung is number 2. then lg and nokia and audiovox are about all equal.

yea, i agree motorola is crappy, however, with qchat and with the merger nextel/sprint would be using kyocera, lg, sanyo, and others.

its up to motorola and qualcomm to set that up.

thanks sir for your kind words.

um sprint would not be useing kyocera. sprint has not used kyocera since sprint went 3g

brands sprint uses are as fallows sanyo, samsung, lg, nokia, panlm one, rim, and audiovox (audiovox however has a very short life span with sprint) nothing more. they do not use semins, kyocera, or any of the smaller companies they have used 1 moto and 1 sony ericson. in the recent past but those were not offered threw retail because they were inferior to any thing else sprint offered

Nextel, QUALCOMM, Kyocera Wireless and Lucent Technologies Demonstrate QChat™ Walkie-Talkie Service at CTIA

Nextel, the leading provider of two-way digital wireless communications, and QUALCOMM, the pioneer and world leader of CDMA digital technology, are working closely together on the QChat solution, which is designed to operate on CDMA2000 1X Release A wireless networks worldwide. hmmm i guess that is would be the biggest reason sprint has not even looked at the option of q-chat. in fact sprint went so far as develop it's own voip on ev-do rev a that is not q-chat.

you do not understand sprint currently has no plans for q-chat!

oh jeez. sprint has looked at the option becuase they have merged with nextel for that reason as well as others. qchat will be rolled out when nextel/sprint merge in the 2007-2008 time frame. i am right and thats what will happen. execs have said it and the tests with nextel, qcom, motorola and others will show you that they will roll it out.

unfort. you arent the brightest. you cant fathem that you work in the industry probably in the retail section or customer care section, while i dont, and i know more then you about your own company.

You can't spell or punctuate correctly and he's not bright? And since when did you stop working at the mall kiosk? You're not fooling anybody, genius.

P.S. You may not want to tease people about not knowing about the company they work for when you couldn't even figure out that Nextel didn't own Qchat.

i can see why some one from nextel might think q-chat is the next great thing but honestly in this forum who thinks that the new sprint (i say sprint because by far it is the larger company) will use q-chat? why would sprint waist millions by switching to q-chat when ready link it vertually the exact same thing?

the sanyo 9000 will be released latter this year it is ev-do it will have ready link it will be voip on an evdo network. in addition to this it will be compatable ev-do on a cdma txrtt which will be crutial with sprints market by market role out of ev-do.

i perdict the c-chat project is scapped by 2007. nextel18 rants and rants that we are garenteed to have q-chat by 2008?! 🤣

he has know idea what that really means in...

why do companies spend millions on something? hmm lets thing. maybe as a back up? what do you think? of course a back up plan. nextel has qchat just as a backup. they are building 3k cell sites this year why? they are merging. well as a back up.

its all about backups. millions and with sprint doesnt matter. you need to spend to create new products.

so they will have voip, qchat and the gateway between dc and ready link. good. that means more opportunity for them.

2007-2008 qchat will be out. you watch.

I was thinking that is why the contracts with Motorola/IDEN were extended through whatever... Just in case or a back-up plan... In case all that PTT sh*t they were TESTING didn't work as good. One more way to keep us PTT/Nascar afficianados happy...

well, why not? iden will still be for a long time. its just saying nextel is merging with sprint so why are they building towers to support coverage? well becuase they want to grow. i guess they are doing it becuase as you said, its a back up and just in case plan. in this business you want that. more the better. qchat will be good i can guarantee that. it was tested to be 1.5 seconds latency on the REV A network during the CTIA demo and that wont be out till 2007-2008 so that can be tweaked some more.

any questions please ask.
