Sanyo 5500 as a wirless modem

I had been using my 5500 as a wirless modem for months until Sprint turned that service off of my phone. I still have "Vision" but no modem capabilities with my laptop. I need help! I'm going though Myspace withdrawal.

Even though I offered to pay for a data package that supports data pass-through they said because my phone is not a "Smart Phone" they could not add that package to my plan.
