JUST SIGNED UP
Hi I just signed with sprint yesterday over the net ! I got my act fee waived and took the samsung A740 camera phone 49.99 with a 50 mail in rebate ! Is this a good phone ?
Also i signed for the free and clear 500 ulm nw for 49.99 and another 5.00 for the free and clear americe does this mean no roaming charges ? And if not what kind of nation plans are available ? Im in huntington westvirginia

The phone is a good price if it's $50 before the rebate. As far as the plan goes, it's not the best out there. You could get a fair & flexible 700 minute plan with unlimited nights n weekends for the same $50 and the americao option for $5 more. The america option means you don't pay roaming charges, even if your phone says it's roaming. the difference between the fair & flexible and the free & clear is that with the F&F, it's $5 for 100 minutes if you go over. with the F&C it's $0.40 a minute if you go over. The only drawback to the F&F is that it requires a 2 year contract...

cool thanks ill change my plan to the f&f . But now im having another problem i will not recieve my phone untill 6/1 or 6/2 and they perted my number from att tonite which leaves me without cell service for 3 or 4 days ! not only that but i cant even check my vm because i dont have the phone yet ! this makes me pretty mad since i wanted them to set my port request for 6/2 ! im tinking of calling att and having a winback done and forget about it ! any advise on what to do ?

never buy a phone where they have to ship it to you. you may save 50$ but nothing is free just look at all the hastel you have now.
as far as futuredated ports that is not something they can do. they could ave given you a temperary number. but something tells me you did not order the phone threw sprint i am guessing oyu bought it off some third party website that probubly threw in a cheep carcharger and cheep case for free.

You should still be able to check your voicemail, dial your cell phone number, it should walk you thru the setup.
And I have toa gree with the never buy from third party on the web. the give you free crap but end up screwing you in the end. Sprint would have sent the phone to you within 3 days and then had you call and activate it.

Ok thanks for the help ! Let me answer a few of the questions , First i orderd from sprint directly ,and it has been a mess i was given incorrect info by a english crippled person .They told me that the samsung a740 was a speaker phone and i should have checked into it a litle more but i ordered it . I was told that my phone would be overnited to me and would be here on saturday before the holiday wellllllll still waiting and my number was ported so no cell for me ! I work for cingular and i know that i should have asked more questions but just needed a new phone and sprints recption is about the best here in the westviginia hills .. live and learn ohh well

well i came i saw and i left ! I am sorry to say that sprint sucks! After ordering a free phone on line on sprintpcs.com i got a 52.00 charge on my credit card , and was told by a non english speaking person that the phone has never been free . Well the day i ported over i was sent an email that said if i port my number the phone and activation would be free . I kept a screen shot of this and sent it to sprint , they said that it was from sprint .com and not sprintpcs.com ??????? so i called spoke with awpu and he said that there was nothing they could do even though i faxed it too them so i ported to cingular got a z500a for free with a 50 mail in rebate (instead of that crappy a740 for 50 bucks)
