any1 know if there are phones other than the 8200 coming out that will have full-speaker, camera, flip, and REAL music (which is spcs's version of mp3) ringtones? i have a 6225 but id rather have a flip...i would've gotten a 8200 but i didn't like the color of the keypad backlight...hmm...is this actually a good question or am i just being too picky?

Sanyo are great phones. Rated number one in customer satisfaction. The Samsung A800 is very well built. I am very impressed with how solid it is. And yes you are way to picky. oh and you don't have to get ReadyLink. Personally I do think that RL is a waste of money but if ppl want to buy it from me then I will sell it.

-i know sanyos are great phones. solid, reliable, always get the best signal, and im not getting confused to think that if the phone has the feature that supports the service, then i HAVE to get the service that uses that feature...what i meant in my post was that i would have no need for the service (and i would plan on NOT adding the RL service to my plan)...SO...i meant that i would be wasting money on the PHONE ITSELF (the hardware built into the phone, that i would not use)...i want a phone that has everything that i want, nothing that i don't, and in a package that i like...is that too much to ask?

oh i see. I apologize.
but you must understand that a company will do what is best for the most amount of people at the cheapest cost. It is more cost effective to add RL hardware to a phone than to make two separate phones one with RL and the other without.

makes sense
just once again proving that the world stinks
"the customer is always right" not in CORPORATE america

but couldn't someone other than sanyo introduce a phone that competes with the sanyo's? i mean, due to the fact that sanyo has a patent on sprint's RL hardware (as motorola has on nextel's), wouldn't anybody else's phone that competes with a sanyo DIRECTLY have everything that the sanyo has EXCEPT RL? but i guess if they did then they wouold prolly try to sell it at the same price and then there'd be no point of it

actually sanyo does nto have exclusive rights to sprints rl sprint also has the samsung a760 whuch is also ready link.

the reason most of sprints rl phones are sanyos is simple sanyo and sprint have an exclusive contract in the us. they both work very closely together in handset development so when sprint was developing rl sanyo worked hand in hand with them. but sprint ownes rl not sanyo. and rl is no different then what VZW usees there is just one difference sprints has a lot less bugs
