I went to the Consumer Reports website to view the ratings first-hand. Sprint does indeed compare well with Verizon's ratings overall (especially when including value for the money).

I was surprised that Boost was not rated at all in the prepaid section. Virgin Mobile was rated, but no mention of Boost anywhere. Especially perplexing given that Boost rates highly in the JD Power surveys, and to my knowledge only Boost has the "Shrinkage" bill-reduction feature for the consistently on-time payers.
