Looking for some opinions from the new LTE users
Anybody care to share their experience with the new LTE service since several new areas have it? I am eligible for upgrade soon and looking forward to better service with LTE. Is it as good as it is supposed to be?

I've not used it on Sprint, however technology is technology. LTE burns battery and without a strong battery or sparse usage you'll constantly be seeking someplace to plug in. There are several models of phones that have supposedly fixed this glitch most notably the Samsung Galaxy S III.
If you're happy with Sprint service and you purchase the right device, I don't think you'll be unhappy with LTE at all. It's fast.

quality of Digital Voice
data signal inside buildings
battery life with heavy use
etc.
For comparison, I currently have the EVO 4G and am very pleased with it with the exception of battery performance, and storage space. I was planning to get The EVO 4G LTE

I've had some hands on time with the S III though not in a 4G market. The phone is great but Sprint's EVDO speeds are not terrific at best and unbearable at worst.
I would not buy a phone at this stage of the game that doesn't have a removable battery. My opinion may change in the future but when my LG Connect is on its 2nd battery in 5 months of use I begin to get concerned about not being able to just replace it.

I can't comment on the strength of LTE, but I would most definately recommend the S III over the EVO. Almost every EVO we've sold has come back due to connectivity issues. Even the replacement devices won't connect properly. Plus, the S III has twice as much RAM, and it is noticeably faster.

Ive had all the evos. Used to love htc until i got an S2. Had a choice between Gs3 and new evo and immediately made up my mind and got s3.
Deal breaker was non removable battery on that evo.
Plus gs3 looks better. Home button is a huge plus. Battery life is stellar and charging port on bottom. Not the side wtf htc

Im in one of the initial markets.. san antonio. LTE has been great for me so far. Yes it murders my battery but if you have a battery app (i.e. Juice Defender) it greatly helps regulate data. I went on ebay.. got an additional 2100mah battery ($20) that i keep close by and im good for the day. Im using the Nexus which I love especially since I upgraded it to JB 4.1 (quite simple to do i might add). I have learned one thing after having owned an EVO, Sam GS2, and now Nexus... i will never leave Samsung. The display, the OS, and very very few issues I have had with them will keep me coming back.

Laugh all you want but continueing to act as if Sprint doesn't have a growing LTE network much like AT&T and Verizon did starting out you are delusional. So what if it wasn't immediately lit up in 100+ markets yet, do you honestly beleive it wont get there eventually just like the others?
