there are so many issues with cingular that a lot of people are in that forum looking for tips and answeres where as sprint it is a relatively hassel free service so not as many people are looking for tips or answers

or maybe because cingular has over 48million customers and sprint has about 26 million

Ahem. It's not Nextel/Sprint yet bud. Just two separate companies. Ahem.

It will be so sad to see you cry when the Nextel and Sprint deal falls through. So many companies have been fighting tooth and nail to prevent it, and they have a list of violated clauses and agreements between and themselves and Sprint PCS on their side.

No I take that sad remark back. I think it might be quite funny.

Ok...I would like to know...how is Sprint merging with another company violating any agreement with 3rd party vendors?

Do you mean how sprint is merging with another company when they might be violating the agreements?

Well, they are allowed to merge with anyone they want to. (Sprint) the FCC nor the doj will probably not say a lot about this situation with regarding the problems. It is up to sprint to negotiate their way to settle or to buy the companies who are disputing with them.

So how? Easy, because they can.

"It is up to Sprint to negotiate their way to settle or to buy the companies who are disputing with them."

If they don't cooperate? Time to take Sprint to court, and make things a little bit rockier for the merge. 🙂

???????????????

Read the forum some day. It is mainly because call center reps cannot access the lounge or shop talk and therefore have to post off topic items in the one and only forum they can access. There is more activity but it is mostly off topic.

As for your "lack of problems" theory, keep dreaming.

Do not forget that many (not all of course) of the posts there are by kids - if not physically - then mentally.

A large portion of the posts are put there without thought to the purpose of the forum. As Mr. Brome stated - the forum is intened for consumers - and not for reps to list the dribble that often times is found there.

The majority of posts seem to be from reps who have no other outlet for their "customers suck" posts. Or from people who think others actually care what Customer A happened to say that day.

Seems like the employees of Cingular want a cookie for doing their job - but at the same time - berate customers who ask for discounts. Quite amusing actually.

And yet you stoop to constantly insulting us. Doesn't say much for your level of maturity either. And by the way...we are all old enough to have jobs. That makes us ADULTS. There are plenty of adults that act like little spoiled brats....just look at the people in our government, particularly the democrats.

Just out of curiousity could you maybe be a, oh, I don't know...republican? Leave it to Elephants and Donkeys to take cheap shots.

Before you go ranting on me, no, it's not a childish insult. It's just an observation from the Independant point of view. Calm down man, everybody is entitled to an opinion. That's why we reside in America my friend. Freedom of speech. He can call you immature, and you can call him a spoiled brat. No need to get wound up over a forum posting. I don't think anybody meant any harm. Just take a deep breath and c...

If you find my frankness and unwillingness to coddle people with fluffy niceties when they demonstrate a lack of comprehension or demonstrate ignorance as insulting I can only say I'm not surprised.

Most people are not used to such frankness and find it insulting - however - the ability to critical evaulate and think are traits I value. Pointing out such failures serves to highlight areas one (including myself often times) might want to focus on.

Lastly - inane nonsense? I have often been insulted but generally these insultes have a residual of truth to them.

Would you please be as so kind as to highlight to me which of my posts - in y...

No - it most certainly does not. This statement belies the validity of your statement.

Sinner points out the obvious in his reply in reference to your shortsighted statement regarding politics - which I might also add - further belies the validity of your statements regarding adults.

Nextly - you miss the entire point of the Cingular forum. Seeing as you did not read Mr. Brome's post (or perhaps actually comprehend it) I'll reiterate what he said basically. The carrier forums are geared towards consumers and questions that they may have. Many of the topics currently in the Cingular forum rightfully belong in the 'Shop Talk' or ...

It's obviously useless argueing with such a closed-minded individual.

Here's a fact for you. Did you know that if a customer comes in and just takes the basic promotion on a phone, that customer has to be in service for their first year before we really start making a profit on them? If they whince and complain and get a more substantial discount, then it takes us even longer. This is assuming of course that they take a lower rate plan. Even if they take a higher rate plan though, it still takes us a while to profit from them because they are probably going to have add-a-lines for $9.99 or $14.99 a month. These add-a-lines receive the EXACT same promotions, but yet customers pay so little back in on them. Can you not see how the cel...

this all relates to my origional post. the reason cingular forums is so full of posts is because cingular customers have more issues then sprint customers.

of course they have more problems cingulars idea of customer service is 7am-8pm m-f!!!!!!!!! and on top of that very few of there stores offer customer service

they don't even have 24 hr cust service! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

come on you have to admit that is a joke!

one thing i do like about sprint you can get full customer service at almost all there stores and they have 24/7 customer service

I frequent the Cingular forum a lot, but have been visiting the Sprint one. Usually on that one, there are people just asking questions about things, or reps talking about new features or what not.

One thing, I remember posting a new thread a day or two ago and can't seem to find it. Maybe something's wrong with this forum where nothing new is popping up.

Also, not very many people read this forum. With Cingular, I can post something and expect a reply within an hour, reguardless of the time. On the Sprint one, it can take days.
