Sprint Direct Connect + Airave
Does anyone have any experience with getting Sprint Direct Connect phones to reliably take advantage of the Airave signal booster?
When we have our Airave turned on, the signal bars for CDMA voice definitely improve, but with the Airave on, Direct Connect basically goes out the window.
With Airave on, DC almost immediately shuts off on both of our phones (Kyocera Torques), it takes power-cycling of the phones to get them to re-establish DC, then after several seconds both phones shut off DC again. Since the DC is important to us, we have ended up just shutting the Airave off, which is bad for signal strength, but at least the DC works most of the time with the Airave off. good point, contact the Airave tech support dept. they open an internal ticket and hopefully they they can resolve it quickly. the number is 855-212-9515
Airave uses your DSL to create signal, and generates 1xRT (3G) data connection which is slower than EVDO, that might be a reason why, but I'm just guessing. call Ariave tech dept. and they will create an internal ticket.
