sanyo 5400 (RL2500)
This sanyo phone beats all sanyo phones i've ever had. Clear sound, speaker phone, blue keypad...ect. There is nothing better (right now anyway). I just need to get all my friends to get a PTT phone and all will be wonderfull. 🤣 😁 🤣 😁 🤣 😁

Has anyone used the 5400 with a lapton, is the connect speed lower than with the older sanyo's, 5300, etc??

I used my 5400 as a modem with my laptop in Jacksonville last week... My connection speed was the same as it was with my N400 (WindowsXP reported 230KBps). Now as to speed of downloading pages, it did seem to be slighlty (not very noticeable) slower pulling up graphic intensive pages. I can't complain though.

Yeah, I think its about the same- the problem I had was gertting ther correct drivers to make the think work again--I could not get it to work with the old 4900 hook up--is that what you had to do-

I will respond to my own post--yes the laptop cable works, and the 5400 is a great little phone.and the speaker phone is the loudest I have used-also there is virtually no delay on the ready link, though I question it's worth to the average person. I had also, asked on another post about the $10 non contract availability, it is listed again on the back of the latest price list which also describes 7pm N&W--if everything is like it is listed, seems very user friendly --but as usual could be a littler better with cheaper add a phone, etc..but they got to make $ too I guess.
