Has anyone been to the Virgin Mobile website lately? It seems as though a lot of people have the $50 unlimited talk plan.

I found out about Virgin Mobile through a TV program that mentioned VM's "Broadband 2 Go" plan. After researching it, and the "Beyond Talk" plan, thoroughly, I was sold.

I said good-bye to Verizon Wireless which I had for 8 years, and dove head first into the VM "Beyond Talk" plan.

Since my phone is not my life, I went with the $25 plan (unlimited free web, free messaging, and email, plus 300 min of talk) which is plenty for me. I ended up cutting my monthly phone expenses in half, got exactly what I needed and more, without being tied to a contract.

If someone calls you private or unknown on Virgin Mobile , if you go online to view your account detail will it show the actual number??Im able to see it now with my current provider but i have to wait a week after my bill cycle closes. I would like to switch to VM if i can do this so i can see the number immediatley.PLEASE ANY IMPUT?? Can u possibly try it by calling ur VM phone private and checking online to c if the number came out?? thanks a ton for any help

I plan to recycle my old VM phones, but I want to wipe them of all my personal data. I'm not seeing a way to do a master reset/clear in the menus. Any ideas? I'm doing a Flare and an Aloha.

I am posting this so that hopefully anyone who is looking for information about Virgin does not have to go through the same crap I did.
Obviously, this is a cheap phone service with not the best reception, nor the best selection of phones. If you need top of the range reception and a top of the range phone, obviously go to Verizon, etc. and get a Blackberry, etc... Everyone who goes to Virgin is, I presume, looking for a no frills company with no frills phones and cheap monthly bills.
With that in mind, here is my experience.

I called Virgin Mobile the other day and asked what new phones they would be offering. He wouldn't say, but I believe that they are coming out with the Kyocera Torino very soon, and perhaps a higher-end touch screen phone. I have the Rumor2 now and really like it, but I like the form factor of the Torino...more Blackberry-like. Since Boost Mobile has really beefed up its line to include the Blackberry, it's only a matter of time before Virgin follows suit.

Does anyone have any new info about releases and dates?

That we will get the Kyocera Zio for virgin mobile I hear some where that criket maybe getting it. I wonder why they arent saying anything about the new phones. Our phone selection sucks 😈

I was reading online at new phones coming out for VM this year and I do see some of the line up includes the I phone and the BB bold. Has any one else heard anything about this happening this year? 😁 I hope we get some better phones this X tc is killing me!

☹️ Every time I buy a new data pack with Virgin Mobile I cannot connect to the web. I get the error Server Not Responding. The so called tech people have no clue what is going on. They told me in October the problem was my phone. So I bought a new phone. Same problem happened yesterday when I bought the new data pack. Server Not Responding. Anybody have any clues what is going on, because the people at VM certainly have no clue.

I keep hearing that Virgin will be giving free phones to poor people and welfare recipients starting very soon.

While this may earn them and Sprint brownie points, it makes our Virgin phones look like ghetto phones and I'm not happy about this at all.

Have you guys heard anything about this? They seems to be keeping it quiet but the story is leaking out.

I have the rumor2. I bought it Monday night and ported it in from an ATT contract account. It only took an hour and I was very happy. My phone worked great Monday @ 7PM when I activated it, until Tuesday, late morning around 11AM. Since then, I am getting no text messages, but people are still getting the ones I send them. I called customer service lastnight and they told me that the network is working and fine, and that my friends my not have really sent me a text. WTF? I watched them send me a text. Anyone else having this problem?
