Is anyone using Amp'd actualy ON this forum?
A little early ta be predictin' their demise. π
Maybe if a carrier was named 'The Titanic' an' was tryin' to charge $600 a month for a 5-yr contract that had 50 Anytime minutes, no n/w/m2m, an' their only phone choices were an analog bag phone and a string between cans, I might agree.
Amp'd has only soft-launched.. the jury's still out.
maybe if they lowered the price as a HEY WE ARE NEWBIES COME GET US DEAL. it might work but those plans a silly. yea their store's or kiosk will get attention but as soon as a price is named people will turn around and bounce.

But they are givin' newbies a deal. When you sign up, you get the followin' fo' FREE:
- 128MB memory card
- headset
- extended battery
- some preloaded content
- 3 months of unlimited data
My an' my friends never got all o' that with any other carrier we ever signed up with. π³
An' the plans are priced pretty much the same as Verizon an' Cingular .. the diff is, Ampd' gives you a lil' more minutes (Amp'd $59 plan gives you 1000 Anytime minutes, Vzw an' Cing give you 900), but thats cancelled out by Ampd's ghetto m2m (which only is free once you run out of minutes).
That's really the only thing I'd cry about.. the ghetto m2m. It might be ok on the prepay plans that are coming, and on their $29.99 postpaid plan, but on anything else.. nuh-uh, bad call, give peeps the real m2m.
a company that comes out with plans like that, that seem ATLEAST TO ME i don kno bout u, to be aimed at folks in the hood. i don kno bout your hood but it's NOT happenin in my hood.
i am 100% positive that baby is not mineπ€ i mean company will not sell in my hood. π
So far so good.
