why doesnt canada have GSM
im sort of pissed off that we have limited options in canada for the types of phones we can buy and actually find it funny that the US is still stuck with dial up internet and we have ADSL almost everywhere.

yes but they suck because they dont have any towers. If u go outside the city even 10 miles u lose the connection. I went with them for about an hour and took the phone back because they lied to me about texst mess. working if i sent mess. overseas.

I have Rogers and live in Nova Scotia and I get coverage everywhere I've ever been. Maybe you tried them before their GSM network was rolled out. Just like how AT&T service sucked in alot of areas a few years ago.

Well the question was "Why doesn't Canada have GSM?" So I answered that question. As for coverage, I live in a relatively small city and can get coverage virtually everywhere with Rogers.

actually in NS, I was told that the GSM system isn't very good here. NOt many people i know like rogers because they said their service sucks.

I remember about 2yrs ago I had trouble getting coverage in some parts of cole harbour, in eastern passage and a few other locations(including in convergys). I now get coverage everywhere, the service has been improved drastically.
