Will AT&T Wireless Return?
I know it's not "new" news, but has anyone heard about if there is going to be a name change, and if so, when it is going to happen. I was thinking about switching over to Cingular soon, but if they are going to change back to at&t, I would just wait. I know it sounds stupid...same service an all. I'm just the type of person that has to have the "most recent".

yes, by early next year, once the at&t inc and bellsouth merger is complete, then they will rebrand Cingular as at&t (Although I don't know if they will call it at&t wireless, or not, time will tell...)

Thanks! I just had to ask. I am towards the end of my current contract with Verizon and wanting to switch over to Cingular/at&t. But with their current lineup of phones (with no clear indication that more are coming) I just assume that once they change to "at&t", they will have a all new lineup. Plus when that does happen, I want to have a at&t branded phone, not Cingular. I know that sounds odd, but its a OCD thing. 🤣

That's not odd at all. 😁 I wouldn't want ANYTHING on my phone to remind me of Cingular. 🙄
