Signal Strength

Hey all

I just wanted to chime in and ask if there was anyone else in the Boston area with T-Mobile? I wanted to check before I leave Verizon. I did check the map on the website and it lists my location as having dark green which is good I know but I wanted to hear from people that actually have it.

Thanks

TMO 1900MHz network modernization question

I was looking at the specs of my HTC One S and it doesn't have the WCDMA 1900.

So I'm wondering with TMO pushing to spread their 1900MHz coverage to work with older iPhones. Are they shutting down the 1700Mhz? Therefore limiting phones like the One S. Or will these phones that were specifically made for TMO before their modernization continue to work just fine?

PLEASE have your verification ready

Hello everybody - I'm a T-Mobile rep... normally, customers are very good at verifying an account. They provide either the last four of the SSN/TaxID based on account type, or a password if it has been set up.

Customer know what we need, and have always been very good at this. I get a verification escalation about once every two weeks, but it never goes anywhere becuase of FCC regulations.

I try hard NEVER to quote contract terms, or quote rules that are doled out by a federal agency, like the FCC. I save that until last, I know nobody likes to hear that from a representative.

Lately, I have been getting LOTS of calls from custoemrs, individual and business, that just simply dont have the required verification (last of SSN/TAXID(EI...

Just received the Blackberry Z10

This is a great device- phenomenal actually. The UI is fantastic, data speeds on the T-Mobile network are amazing, and other things are really good. I don’t have any negatives right now, and I’ll update you guys later on as soon as use all of the features but as of right now, this is a big step up from the older blackberries and better than the IPHONE, and maybe better than the Samsung devices. QNX is fluid and it’s very fast. To be continued.

Night.

How is the coverage in NY?

I live in Suffolk county on Long Island and work in NYC and was wondering about T-Mobiles coverage. I have 1 co-worker who has a T-Mobile account and loves it, however she has always had T-Mobile, for like 10 years or so and can't compare it to any other carrier.

I am on Sprint right now, and have no complaints. I've been on Verizon, and AT&T and all 3 have there dead spots and such so I'm used to that. usually its a dropped call here and there, nothing really big for any of those 3 but T-Mobile seems to be the least expensive of them all and I was wondering is it worth the switch?

Can anyone tell me what there coverage is like, call quality, data speeds, etc..? Thanks

T-mobile USA officially launches Blackberry Z10

T-mobile USA officially launches the Blackberry Z10 for customers. Unique price point. You have two options: 1. pay in full or 2. pay $ 99.99 now and then $18 per month for 24 months (you can pay more if you want) Total price $531.99. I'm getting mine tomorrow.

🙂

Your bill is also lower, and once its paid off its $18 per month lower.

New Prepaid options (Game Changer)

There are new prepaid options for both individual, family plans. There are also new mobile broadband devices. keep in mind that when you have a classic plan and you want to change you have to pay a migration fee of up to $200. I suggest waiting but if you do the math you might make out in the end.... there are a lot of savings. Enjoy

Need Help with plan pricing with potential discounting

Ok I am familiar with Sprint, Verizon & AT&T rate plans. I used to work for Verizon so I know everything about them. I know longer work for Verizon and I'm doing some price comparisons.

I called T Mobile sales department but I am very cautious with some of the information I was provided. Here are a few questions for the experts on Phonescoop.

This is what I want (2) Smart Phones (2) Basic Phones

1. T Mobile sales rep said if I was a member of AAA I can get a 10% discount similar to Sprint. (VZW doesn't have a membership discount) Anyways she stated the 10% would be off the total amount of the plan excluding a la carte features such as insurance etc. (The majority of carries only take the discount of a certain amount not the total) I...

Hey All (Used to be Nextel18)

Hey everyone. I was formerly known as Nextel18 and now I had to change it because I didn’t recall my passwords and wanted to say hey. I switched from Sprint/Nextel to AT&T to T-Mobile USA. I have had fantastic and positive experiences with this company and readying for the Z10. The 4G LTE is fantastic I have never seen the speeds before. I typically get MS of about 50 and download speeds of 15mb/s and upload speeds of 4mb/s all over the place.

Anyway, Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the oldies and the newbies.

URGENT This article preaches the truth on T-Mobile and sloooow 2G

I live in an area with 4G in the city, but anywhere remotely out of city limits...i'm talking widespread areas and COMPLETE POPULATED towns are 100% 2G only here in North Carolina. When in the world will we at least have 3G in areas at&t had 3G in 5 years ago?! NC used to be a SunCom market so I guess 98% of the towers here are legancy SunCom towers. Anyway read this and you'll be screaming "AMEN!" just as I have!

T-Mobile tanking in USA?

Word on the street in Seattle is that T-Mobil Corporate headquarters is rescinding employment offers in the USA and telling current staff to "start looking" as layoffs are coming. Does this signal a pull back for the company in the USA? How bad will customer service drop when the effect of this action hits the company? Anyone got more news?

how to check phone # for person who leaves voice mail?

When callers dial my cell and I don't answer, I can check their number under "missed calls" ... as long as they don't leave a voice mail. However, if they wait until my voice mail answers, then their number won't show up in the missed call list. This can be frustrating when someone mumbles their number when they leave a message.

Is this a limitation of my phone, or a limitation of T-mobile's network, or is there some setting I need to adjust?

Contract extension without new phone?

Does T-Mobile add two years from the date of a plan change without any new subsidized equipment? This appears to have happened to my girlfriend. Is there anyway to contest this months later?
