I've Asked This Before and Will Ask Again
Sprint and Nextel may be owned by a single business entity, but in terms of the networks (iDEN vs CDMA) and the customer base (the "just get it done" iDEN folks vs the "phone fashionistas & data freak" CDMA & WiMax folks, they could hardly be more different. Like oil & water, or fire & ice, or conservatives & liberals.
Besides, there is so little Nextel "posting traffic" these days, any Nextel-related posts would get swamped by the Sprint CDMA & WiMax postings constantly pushing them to the bottom of the stack.
I agree that if the forums are kept separate, this one should be called simply "Nextel", or maybe simply "iD...

Even though they're the same company, Sprint CDMA and Nextel iDen offer different services, their plans, while being essentially the same, are coded different in the system in order to reflect this. There are two separate technical support teams, two separate retention teams, and until recently, there were two different finance queues for them.
Even though they're the same company, the two services are so different that Nextel deserves this forum.
