Motorola V710 coming to Alltel!
I was told twice by Alltel's customer care that the Motorola V710 is coming sometime in October. It's nice to know that video messenging, a high-end flip with a megapixel camera, and nice large 260,000 main color screen and outside color...all of those features coming in what appears to be a great phone, and hopefully we see it earlier in October.

I'm very happy with my LG 5550, but my roomate has the V710 for Verizon and it's a great phone, pretty much same as the 5550 voice functions but with added multimedia fun.

I was told by my local Alltel rep, who seemed pretty knowledgeable, that Alltel was testing an unspecified bluetooth phone but that it would not be available until next year and possibly not til 2d quarter next year. Don't know exactly who to believe on this one. I'd like to stay with Alltel, but if they don't come to the table with a Bluetooth phone soon I'll be on Verizon or Cingular by the end of the year.

I would have to agree, Alltel's phone lineup should include Bluetooth. Other things lacking is a high end camera phone (better than the one they have), video messenging, a megapixel camera, and more features. With the fourth quarter beginning and competition from AT&T being taken over by Cingular, and the need for a new Motorola from Alltel...it makes sense that this V710 would be coming out by the end of October. Let's keep out fingers crossed.
