Deciding whether I want to get a phone now or wait for something new.

I'm ready to upgrade my phone. I currently have the Audiovox 8910 and get terrible signal strength. I need something that gets great signal in low lying areas such as basements, thick walls, hospitals, etc...
What would be the best bet?

Do I wait for another newer phone to be released or do I go ahead and get the Moto V710 or Nokia 6255i?

I can barely get a call out between noon and 7pm with my companys Alltel phone I use in the North East part of Mesa.Does Alltel have capacity problems in the metro Phoenix area?? because this is getting to be very annoying. Are there any new cell sites planned to help out. Thought Id ask you alltel experts. 😡

I just activated my Alltel phone today (6255i). I have a wap site that I keep some of my favorite wallpapers and ringtones and it worked fine with my old ATT Nokia phone. But I can't save any of the wallpapers or ringtones with my 6255i, is there a way for me to get these tones without waiting for my bluetooth dongle to arrive?

has anyone heard what alltel will be doing w/ ww gsm services? i am currently looking at switching to tmobile and they utilize the new alltel gsm towers along I-80 in Nebraska. if i signed up w/ tmobile and those towers were switched over to cdma I would be screwed while driving home to iowa. Unfortunately there is no alltel in northern colorado. thanks for the help.

Now that the LG has been released, what's next on the horizon for Alltel?

OK........Need to know how AllTel handles this situation. Lets say I have 200 lines on a corporate acct with ABC Wireless. All of a sudden, ABC Wireless sells out 100% to AllTel. AllTel has informed individual consumers, your average customer, that they can (1) sign new contracts with AllTel because AllTel isnt going to honor the low priced plans ABC sold or (2) port out their number to another carrier and not be charged the 200.00 or so deactivation fee (protecting thereselves, I assume, because BOTH parties are legally bound by the contract that AllTel wants no part in honoring).
