Samsung

I bought Samsung phone (SGH-T319) from T-mobile. I need to upload my contact information (either from text file or Outlook file) to this phone.

I was told to buy a Data Kit which I did. It was PKT139TBE. However, after calling Samsung website, I was told that the Data Kit will NOT do what I want it to do, ie: transfer contact information from a computer to the phone.

Is that right? If so, what is the purpose of that Data Kit? And how do I achieve my goal of transferring my contact information?

PS: any cable will need to be with the USB port, as I do not have any other port (serial nor parallel) in my computer.

I received a T-219 (w/1-yr 1000 minutes) for a BD gift from a friend who thought I lived within a service area but I have to go up the street to call out or recieve calls. Still, I like the phone and have been taking it to town with me.

Here's my problem: If I leave the phone turned on while at home the batt is about dead the next morning. If I turn it off the batt is OK the next morning. Is this normal?

One thing that's interesting is if I call my cell from my land line at home and leave a message I'll hear the cell's chime indicating a message has been left but, I'm unable to listen to/retrieve the message until I go up the street. Is this normal?

I have a red samsung sync. When ever i close the phone to access the media player on the outside i only have time to press one of the buttons and then the light just shuts off and i have to open and close the phone to get it going again. Any help?

I just received my new Samsung m510 phone, and I'm trying to put music on the SD card. Every time I put the SD card in the adapter and insert it into my laptop (a Dell Inspiron e1505), it recognizes it, but tells me that "The disk is not formatted" and asks me if I want to "format it now." Should I do this? Will it hurt the compatibility with the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just bought a black jack and it seems that if i keep it on over night it stops receiving everything and freezes when i make a call. after i restart it by taking the battery out i get a flood of missed messages and it returns to normal. whats my problem?

I just got a new I760. I did NOT get the data plan, I'm useing it more for the other apps on it, & not for the net.

Is there a way for me to turn off the data options or make it so I dont get data charges, because I find myself bumping the data key.

what is up with samsung lately? Im tired of their phones. Change isnt always a bad thing you know? They should really think about giving larger external displays a chance. Im tired of these one inche mono chrome or CSTN displays. And their designs are getting rather boring. Ugh. I guess im going back to a nokia.

Dose anyone know if there is a site for free blackjack software downloads, mp3 ect..

I have a Blackjack 1 and I am currently located where I cannot get WiFi on my PC (VISTA) for awhile. I need to connect to the Internet with the PC with as fast a connection as possible. I can't figure out how to get there via the Blackjack. I think I should be using GPRS rather than just the "modem" capability, but I'm not even certain of that.

Has anyone done this? Can you fill me on how? or where I can get good directions?

My wife got an unlocked Blackjack2 and it is loaded w/AT&T's programs and she is unable to log in to T-Zones. Are there any patches or programs that will work. OR is there any way to get the tmobile settings on this phones? Please help. thanks.

i connect my phone to the pc and it wont charge the led light dose not come on at all
but it acceses the memory card or activate the active sync. i plughed it in to my other charger and it charges

yp-p2 firmware has been updated to include bluetooth functionality, advanced audio coding support, and other functionality.

if anyone is out there...my work computer doesn't have administrator rights so i am unable to DL and view the flash information. i have a samsung r400 and i hope this is good news for my phone. finally transfer files with other phones via bluetooth????

I need to pair my Blackjack to a bluetooth headset for use on my motorcycle. I am planning on using the Jabra BT5020.

Question:

Can I set up the Blackjack to auto-answer to the Jabra? I know there is an auto-answer setting, but is it only for a wired headset?

Also, will it depend on the headset I choose?

Sorry for crossposting this... I posted it in the U740 forum earlier, but figured more people would see it here.

I'm looking for a good Bluetooth headset for my U740, but have read&heard that there are compatibility problems with a lot of the headsets and the U740..

I figured maybe the Samsung headset would be a good choice since the phone is also Samsung.

Anyone had any good experiences with any particular headset and this phone?

Looks like a great addition to the HotSpot @Home phone lineup for T-Mobile. This is a HANDSOME phone with great middle of the road features. I really think this puppy will be a big hit. Phone/Value scale is looking high. 😁
