😡 Verizon continues to sell the samsung a650 as if there is no problem with the phone. Samsung knows that all of the phones forget downloaded ringtone assignments and Verizon denies it even if you return it over and over for a new one. These should be removed from the shelf until Samsung provides a fix. When you get frustrated they try to talk you into a digital phone (not another Samsung phone). They keep selling the a650 hoping that you won't notice the ringtone problem. Well it is a good phone but they don't work as advertised. They use to call that false advertisement. Now they use amnesia (the Clinton trick) as an excuse and play dumb. Samsung if you are concerned at all about the customer tell Verizon the phone is faulty and pull them...

This is my first time using this forum. I have been waiting for a tri-mode, PDA, hopefully with Palm and bluetooth phone with Verizon Wireless. I know I am asking for alot but I travel alot of analog areas in MN, IA, WI. The Trio 650 is not tri mode and the Samsung i500 is not out yet. Should I give up and buy a Moto v710? I have read that this phone hasn't been the greatest.

Going a little nuts waiting for this phone and am tempted to jump to the Treo650, but really don't like the fact that it's screen is wide open and not "flip".

Whatchya think? Anyone know where this phone is up to being released?

Its got bluetooth, speakerphone, sd card slot (expanded memory, WiFi card...etc.) Windows 2003 mobile... and EV-DO! I just hope it isn't "cripple-bluetooth" as it is so called from Verizon. This is def my next buy!

Commontime.com has a software to purchase that supposedly allows sync'ing for any Windows Based and Palm PDA. Does anyone have experience with this, or any other software that allows the feature I'm looking for?

I am looking at upgrading 4 phones and would like them to be identical (for options and features.) Although I don't need/want the camera features, the carrier is offering the A680.

Could those using this phone post a current review? I've read the on-line reviews but most were posted shortly after purchasing.

I've read that SunCom is TDMA GSM, but that doesn't make it incompatible with this Samsung model does it?

I'm having some problems uploading ringtones to my phone (SGH-E315), and I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm using PSMPlay to convert midi files to mmf, but I can't seem to e-mail them to myself successfully. The attachment never comes across in the e-mail. When I send it as an mmf file, I get a message saying "attachment dropped". I even tried renaming it as a jpg file, but then I get an error saying "unsupported content type". Am I doing it wrong, or is T-Mobile restricting me from uploading my own ringtones? The files I'm creating are only around 10k in size too. Do I need to spring for the data cable?

when you check the EDGE fact sheet on 3gamericas.org, you find D500 and Z105 supports EDGE, however P730 is wrong! it don't support EDGE (see the phone spec here)

What happened to the Whisper Mode on the Samsung A310? Why hasn't Samsung included this in their lastest phones? It's often pretty hard to hear on my E715 even with the volume on max, in a noisy area. However, the A310 I had with Verizon about 1 year ago was able to automatically adjust the volume to compensate for the surround noise and you could "whisper" in a quiet setting and still be heard, hence the name of the feature.

I've read up on the E800 that claims to use some new technology that is basically the same as the former Whisper mode. I just wanted to know if Samsung has used this feature on any other phones after the A310? 😢

Hi, I previously had a Motorola T720. I put midi files on a web server and with the WAP browser, I was able to download ringtones I created. I am unable to do this with my new Samsung a650. I am able to "download" the midi and listen to it, but I can't save it. Maybe I haven't seen the option, or maybe it doesn't exist. Any help would be appreciated.

I own a Samsung A670 which i like very much 😁 i just got it about 2 months ago and i have a lot of dust in the front display anyone know how to get this out or do i have to go and get it done by a verizon store? I was wondering if anyone had an idea about sound on samsung phones. I'm trying to loop a specific sound on the samsung x427 and the sound isn't looping. Is this a known problem, or does samsung handle looping well?
