i need help

i just got a nokia 1600 and a symbol showed up at the top of the screen that looks like two circles. does anyone know what this means or how i can fix it?

yeah that was it. thanks. usually an envelope shows up. but i had new messages and after i checked em the symbol went away.

Envelope generally means SMS. The little thing that I think looks like a tape is a Vmail.
