Thinking about a Nokia 3560

I currently have a Nokia 3360. I have had it for about 2 years now; and I am ready to upgrade. I am thinking of purchasing a 3560. The only problem is that I don't care for the new Polyphonic ringtones. I don't think that they are loud enough. I am afraid to buy one because my 3360 is so loud and it vibrates along with the ringer. Does the 3560 have this feature or is it vibrate or ring? Also; are the rings loud? Thanks for your input. 🙂

CDMA N-gage?

I've recently been hearing rumors about nokia manufacturing a CDMA n-gage. Anyone heard the same? I know the QD is still a GSM but maybe there's still a chance?

Firmware updates. 3586i

i have a 3586i. i was wondering if there is any updates for this phone out there and what do they consust of. i like this phone for funtionality butr the battery life sucks hard.
and this w/ LITH ION battery.also the fact that almost everything has to be done w/ a $50.00 data cable also sucks. but the thing is hella loud and good sound so if i have to charge it nightly its not thet big a deal.also a good plus is that unlike most of the other carriers adapters can be used w/ other models... 🤣

Switch to Nokia 6820? or another bluetooth phone?

I have been a long time customer with Verizon even before they became Verizon. So- I have always had CDMA technology. Still have my Motorola Star TAC (works very well, thank-you)
However, I have since puchased a new car that will synchronize with a bluetooth phone.
It appears that Verizon will not have a BlueTooth phone for some time, possibly late this year, if then.
I am considering switching to AT&T or Cingular and possibly buying the new Nokia 6820 or another bluetooth enabled phone. I don't travel as much as I used to and am wondering if anyone can tell about the AT&T service. Also would like to hear from anyone that has the bluetooth enabled phones which one is the best. I live in the northern Ohio area.
Thanks

6200 (Cingular version)

is there anyway to change the settings on the 6200 to get more service, or change networks,
b/c my phone only picks up Cingular, which has no service in the area (even though AT&T has GSM towers all over the area)

(on the at&t version of this phone, there is the option of "System Selection" (changing networks), but the cingular version does not have it)

so does anybody know any codes that could add to my reception, (like changing networks...)

Battery Performance in Analog

Hi. I posted this thread elsewhere but didn't get the response that I need. I want to know if anyone has this problem with any Nokia phones.

I have a Kyocera 2235 which I don't like for one main reason. The battery can still die and shut off the phone even when the phone is plugged into the wall. WTF... This happens when making analog calls from my rural area and this phone has horrid battery performance in analog.

Can anyone tell me if other CDMA (Verizon) phones have a better reputation concerning this. Obviously I need great RF in the Analog spectrum. I was seeing that Nokias are good for this. Motos?

This battery problem is the one reason I am paying MCI 60 bucks a month for long distance phone calls. HELPPPP!!!!!

nokia 6820

hello everyone,

i have just saved enough money over the past year to get myself a new mobile phone - a better one of course. I have been stuck on my Sony Ericsson T100. not the latest anymore now isn't it? ;)

anyhow, i love to text message. i took a look at the nokia 6800, but i wanted a camera preferably built in since it would have been quite a hassle having to carry it around. so 6820 is my target right now. i also did take a look at 6810 but it's only coming out much later.

i could not find much reviews for 6820 anywhere. a in depth review was much harder to find. i showed the picture to a few friends of mine. some said it was nice, some just turned away and said it was ugly - none have used it though.

i am looking for a buil...

6820: iSync w/ bluetooth on Mac platform?

Apple doesn't list 6820 as one of the nokia phones supported for iSync using bluetooth to load Address Book and iCal.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm running panther on an iBook G3.

Any other third party software to sync Address Book to 6820?

Thanks,
