i currently have the nokia 7600 - i think its quite a good phone. But the shape isnt the best - although its ok. The colour and pictures and videos orent as clear as could be. The loudspeaker for phone calls is CRAP.

I hope the sony erricson will resolve what my nokia 7600 isnt..?

i really like my phones to have a flash for pics a night or in the dark. i contacted some people at sony ericsson and they said the s700i doesn't have it. you say it does. are you sure it has led flash?

Dual cameras and first 3g phone for them. Its pretty bad ass, but it is 1400 dollars right now on ACS phones website. Anyone know when it comes out here and for who.

If you only need a remote control, however, this appears to be built-in now in Mac OS X 10.3.5, as evident when I pair a Sony Ericsson K700i to my PowerBook. Not only does OS X know the K700i has a built-in remote control feature, but it even offers to set it up for me. The first time you do so, the K700i will go to the "remote control" panel and allow you to give it a whirl. Rather neat, but still haven't played with the Media Player remote yet, and I think that is probably one of the cooler ideas. Moving my mouse across a 20" Cinema display with a mobile phone takes a little while... to have such problems, I know.

I have a T616 with Cingular here in New Orleans. Lately I have been loosing quality in my signal from my house. I know its the tower because I have gone through 3 phones and my friends next door also have seen this happen over the last 6 months.. The thing is, once my signal drops, I pick up a "Extended" mode on AT&T's network and the signal is awesome! So, after bitching with Cingular for several months and getting nothing out of it but failed promises, I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to have my phone stay attached to this tower when I am home, someone mentioned to me that this "might" be possible... any ideas? I won't switch carriers because the signal is solid any other time and I am also binded by a contract, plus r...

Hi, Im from NY, USA, and my contract for tmobile is ending soon so I want to renew it but im having difficulty selecting the right phone. I want the best phone possible which has a good mp3 player, loud speakers, speakerphone, a good video camera, a good color screen, and possible blue tooth also. Im sorry for asking for too much!
So can you all please post some phones you think I should get according to my selection description.. thanx... Post phones that are with the tmobile carrier, and also phones that are not with tmobile, cuz I can possibly unlock the phone to work with my tmobile service....

Carrier: Cingular (DC 850 MHZ). Spent a fruitless half hour with customer service on the phone trying to get GPRS to work..sleuthing on my own I discovered that when I try to connect, it appears to be dialing a 415 phone number. This somehow needs to be cahnged. Does anyone know how?

So I have had a couple of T610s with T-mobile so far.

And they have been kind enough to send me the unlock codes for the phones whenever I have asked them.

The only information that they have needed from me is the IMEI number.

Now that led me to think - is there a not so publicly available algorithm that is used to use the
1. IMEI Code
2. Carrier Code
3. (some other stuff that I don't know about)

and then output the Unlock codes?

I would have thought that if this was available then there would already be a open source solution to help us all unlock our phones. I would be willing to volunteer my time to create one such software - if only I knew how.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Does anyone know what the release date is for the k700i in the U.S.?

I want to capture audio streams using MMAPI on my T630. It seems that the T630 does not support MMAPI 1.1, since System.getProperty( "supports.audio.capture" ) returns false on my device. Is it possible to update its software to enable that function?
