Treo 650 To Get 'Berried
Palm today announced that it is working with RIM to bring Blackberry Connect to the Palm Treo. Palm said they will have a Blackberry client with push email, calendar syncing and remote address lookup for the Treo 650 early next year. Since early 2006 is the launch timeframe for the Treo 700w which includes Microsoft's push email solution, it is likely this move is to maintain some feature parity between the two devices. What is confusing is that Palm announced and demonstrated a stable version of the Blackberry client in May 2004. Since there have not been any significant OS changes to the Treo since then, it is strange that it will have taken almost 2 years for this software to launch.
