Palm Treo 650 (GSM)

I cannot afford a new smartphone so I am considering purchasing a used Treo 650 on pay as you go, either the orange or vodaphone network, any advise on quality of the phone?

So my sister gave me her old verizon 650. She has no info for it, so how do I tell if it's gsm or cdma?

Also, I had hoped to unlock this and use it with my at&t sim card, but this unit doesn't have the sim card tray, the port has a permanent cover. So this would be a no-go, right?

Does any body no where to find the call log on this stupid not user friendly machine I just need to know how much time it has on it. The manual was no help and getting cusotmer support on the phone is next to impossible.

Has anyone used a GSM Treo 650 with a MAC? If so, any opinions or info that you can share would be much appreciated.

I currently use a Blackberry with my MAC and PocketMac software to sync my address book, iCal and Notes. This works well, but, with the possible shut down of Blackberry, plus the limitations of Blackberry's PDA functions, makes me curious to see what else is available.

I am thinking about getting a PALM Treo 650 (GSM) through Cingular. Question: I am currently using Palm OS software for my old clunker Palm Pilot..version 4.1.4. Anyone know if I will be able to transfer my Palm data to my Treo? Sorry, I am a newbie at this.

I just got my new Treo 650 from Cingular. Now they tell me it's un-insurable... WHAT? Verizon does... And they both use Lock/Line. What's up with that?

Does anyone know if there is a Mozilla based web browser for a Treo 650 running Palm OS?

I just want something that I can fit on my belt so that I don't have to put my Treo (bulky) in my pocket where it might get scratched.

Lowe's used to make a product called "WorkForce" that was handy, but they don't carry it anymore.

I was thinking about getting this PDA instead of using a regular cell phone. Can anyone give feedback to the quality and reliability of this PDA?

How's the personal organizer functions?
How's the call quality?
Is this easy to use?
Does the speakerphone work well or is it muddled?

Has anyone ever gotton the Treo 650 to sync wirelessly using the built in internet connection.

The MP3 player is not a huge reason for me buying the 650, but since it boasts it, I'd like to know how good it is. Is there a way to download iTunes to the phone and use that instead of real player? Can someone please give me some feedback on this? Thanks.

Can anyone tell me how I can get the volume up on my speakersphone? I've turned the volume key all the way up, but it hasn't helped.

i am switching from verizon CDMA treo 650 to an unlocked cingular treo 650 with a TMobile sim card. how do i port over my PIM data, etc? i have to reinstall the cingular version the palm software, right? how do i make sure not to lose/overwrite important data?

I think my bluetooth is the HS850. Is it true that I will be able to listen to MP3's through my headset with the Treo?

I am upgrading my phone to a Treo 650 and looking to get a 4 phone family plan contract with Cingular, the other phones will not be Treo but basic ones for the rest of the family.

Before I commit I need to know the following:
Can I receive email with the Treo from Versamail from my Comcast pop3 server WITHOUT signing up with PDA Connect or Xpress Mail?

I wonder if versamail allows my to bypass the Cingular features to get email direct from my Comcast pop3 server.

The Cingular reps I have talked to all have different ideas of how this works and what service I need. I am confused and tired of talking to these folks. If this is correct how would they charge for down loading emails OR is it just like making a phone call?

Could someone please explain to me the various add-on rate plans available for use with the Treo. I am told that there is a $39.95 package and that there may a less inexpensive one but no one can really give me specific information. The Cingular sales reps certainly don't know. Any help would really be appreciated.

Hey everyone i got a bit of a problem here, well i own a treo 650 and a Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset. Now when i use my bluetooth headset i can talk perfectly, but when i want to talk on the treo no one can here me, its like the mic is busted or something... any ideas are welcommend thanx
