Motorola KRZR K1m

I put the phone on the ITAP feature and it fills in words but there are also symbols on it too. The words that it chooses are HUGE compared to the simple word that I'd like . For instance, I type in Hi and try to type in how are you and I get Hi ignominy^. Wierd....I have an lg that fills in words perfectly. Perhaps there is a feature that I need to put on other than the ITAPn?

So I got some generic earplugs with a mini USB plug and a button that allows me to answer the phone. But with the mp3 player I can't get the volume very loud (the phone is louder), even with the phone volume on 7 (max) and I also tried other headphones, no dice...any ideas?

I know that many of you may be suffering with batteries that don't hold a charge after only a few months...

I just went to a VZW technician for a battery replacemnet, and he told me that the battery I had was faulty by design. He said they extended the warranty to 15 months and gave me a new one for free...

Figured I'd pass on the info.

I paired the Krzr with my bluetooth in my lexus. Problem is when I go to transfer the phonebook data, I can't find anyplace on the krzr that states send via bluetooth (as was on my Q). Can anyone tell me how to do this?

So I just got the phone and I hooked it up to my computer and the new hardware wizard couldnt find anything for it. I opened up windows media player and it didnt find a device. Im not sure what to do. ☹️

I'm using the quicklink phone book software to manage my contact list, but it appears the groups within contacts are limited to just 10 members! That stinks, instead of one group called Family, I have to create multiple ones like Family1, Family2... Is there a way around this? Is it a limitation of the software or the phone itself?

Also, my contact list is forced to an alphabetical sort order when uploaded to the phone even though I specified a different order as laid out in a spreadsheet list. Thanks for any help.

Maybe I'm just thick. But after getting this phone recently and using it quite a bit, I like it except for the fact that I simply cannot find any way to turn the ridiculous low battery beeping notification off. I've put the ring style to "silent," and under the silent detail menu I have alarms set to silent and reminders set to off. But it's hardly silent --- it keeps "helpfully" beeping to let me know the battery is low at least every ten minutes. Ok, I get the message. You can stop bothering me now.

I've been pouring through the menus and I do not see any other place that this option could possibly be. If my battery is running low, and I need to keep the phone quiet for a long time, is my only option to turn the phone off? I realize I w...

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the strength of the vibrate for the ring? It is very gentle and hard to tell a call is coming in if oyu don't have a ringer on with it. Or is this something wrong with my phone?

If anyone has any advice on this problem, I'd be very grateful.

BACKGROUND INFO:
I got this KRZR back in August 2007.

Over the past 6 weeks, I have noticed a dramatic reduction in battery time. My battery lasts for about 30 minutes of talk time, "fully charged"...it's really annoying.


MAIN PROBLEM:
Anyway, I had the phone powered off for a few hours today. When I powered it on, it restarted after about 60 seconds, and now it KEEPS restarting after 60-90 seconds. Again, really annoying. FYI - It restarts even if I have it plugged in, so I'm not sure if the battery life problem and the restarting problem are related.


Does anyone have any info on this problem?

I was wondering if anyone has had this same problem, and if they know how it could be prevented in the future:
I was texting a couple people back and forth, and out of nowhere my phone exited my Message Centre and when I went back in, it had erased about 45 of my texts.
I dealt with it, figured it was a one-time thing and moved on. Then I turned my phone off and removed the SIM card and replaced it with the one from my old phone to transfer phone numbers.
Once I replaced the original SIM card [the one that came with the KRZR] ALL of my texts that were left were deleted, including the ones that were locked.
I had already disabled the auto clean-up feature in both my inbox and outbox.

I was wondering where i could get a new battery? is the verizon store my best option. i have had the phone for exactly one yr and the battery all of sudden crapped out on me.

I just got the MOTOKRZR K1m and have found that if i silence an incoming call, it goes straight to voicemail! this is frustrating because then people know when i'm not taking their call (goes to voicemail mid-ring).

is there any way i can change this to let it keep ringing on the other end instead of going to voicemail?

Are you able to create your own ringtones for this phone? Or do you have to get them from Cricket?

I want this phone but I want the ability to make my own custom ringtones and not have to get the crappy ones Cricket has.

I have had my KRZR for just over a year (1 week out of warranty). The problem I have is battery life. My old battery was getting 6 hours of life even if I wasn't using the phone and yes I have always let it run completely down and then charged it fully. One of the things I started to notice is the phone would say fully charged after being plugged in for about 20-30 minutes (car and 2 different wall chargers.)

I bought a new battery and I am having the exact same problems as I had before. Is this a phone issue? Anyone ahve any ideas on how to fix it? 6 hours of standby doesn't work and having 30 minutes of total talk time before having to be recharged sucks.

I was able to get a K1m that has not nutered by Sprint or Verzon! I have been able to share Pics and Mp3 ringtones even with GSM phones and I can use it's full potential. I fyou whant this phone don't get it form Sprint or Verizon.

Just look overseas.....

I just got the new KRZR K1M FIRE, and had a problem with synching music from my computer to the phone, as everyone else has had. I now have the fixe, this will work easily.

1st: run the program, if you don't find it go to ALL PROGRAMS, you will find it umder MOTOROLA, open then let it run. Then click, the middle button...I believe it's ADD NEW DRIVERS...then go to your WMP(just for your info, I don't have WMP 10 or 11, and it's worked for me) then connect your cable to the computer, then to your phone. Go to: GET IT NOW/ MUSIC & TUNES/ SYNC MUSIC, it will connect, and recognize your phone. Then drag the music you want to your SYNC FILE in WMP, then click SYNC MUSIC! YOUR ALL SET!!! ???? Moto KZR can u change the faceplate front and back to a Pink. not for me cuz im a dude but for my significant other and yes shes a female. I swear this is not for me. she loves pink and I want to surprise her with a new phone for XMAS. any thoughts 😁

My SD card seems to require that I format it FAT however in doing so I can only use about 30% of the 1.9 gig space. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do about it? 👿
