Samsung SCH-U520

I finally found a way to get a custom mp3 ringtone on my phone. I am using the Metro PCS version.

- Send a text message to your email address. This way you can get your phone's email address (if you don't already have it).

- Simply reply to the email, and attach your mp3. Send.

- When you get the text message (email) on your phone, just download the attachment.

- The mp3 will end up in your "Sounds" folder under the multimedia section. You can now assign it as a ringtone.

I now have the MW2 Op-For spawn music as my ringtone. I love it.

I'VE A U520 WITH A6.2.3.8.f.1.100 OPENWAVE BROWSER IT SUPPOSEDLY CAN WORK MIRACLES. UNFORTUNATLEY...IF IT DONT HAVE A PULL START, I CANT RUN IT.

Hey I was curious has anyone tried connecting their SCH-U520 over bluetooth to their computer to transfer songs? Has anyone been successful?

Trying to download music to the u-520 and it says no mp3 file found. I am using a micro sd card. Any suggestions?

i have a U520 and i go on funformobile.com and try 2 download a MP3 style format ringtone but a notice comes up that says unsupported content type. so how can i download ringtones from this site. or are there any sites that will let me download ringtones for free from my phone.

Ok I know this is old new but could some PLEASE tell me how do I get free ringtones on the samsung u520? lol I know I can't make my mp3 into ringtones because I tried. I even tried a few websites and this phone of on the list of phone that could not work. Does anyone know what I can to?

How do I load music onto the phone? My mother has one. I got her the microSD but I dont know how to load the music. Thank you.

I have formatted my card on the phone taken it out and used the sd adapter to put songs on the card. all the songs on the card are in mp3 format but when i put the card in tthe phone and try to play the music the phone tells me there are no mp3s in My Music on the memory card. What am i doing wrong... the owners manual doesnt tell me anything

I purchased this phone like 3 weeks ago. My service carrier is metro PCS. Overall the phone is really cool, it has very nice functions like the converter, which helps in some cases. One of the reasons that made my purchase this phone is that is email capable.

Since I only use hotmail, when I was about to buy the phone I asked the salesguy at the metro PCS dealer and he said that the phone was capable to work with hotmail. Few days after I bought the phone I went to the metro PCS service office to have all the contacts transfered from my old phone to the new one, and took the opportunity to ask about the settings for the phone to log into hotmail, unfortunately I was told by the guy at metro PCS that the phone is not capable to do so, so ...

HOW DO I TAKE THE MINUTE BEEP ON THIS ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

Just got the u520 at US Cellular and so far its been great - just one question:

US Cell doesn't sell the data cable or PC connection software for the u520. Will the data cable and PC software from third party vendors work? I know Alltel sells the same phone and sells the PC software - would it work on my US Cell phone?

How do I get that annoying zooming sound off when I'm using my camera, the zooming is so loud I is driving me insane in the membrane!

Does anyone know of a fast way to lock the Samsung SCH-u520 phone? I know I can press 9, 5, 3, enter my code, press OK for the Lock options, press up to go to Lock, and press OK. Or I can set it up so that it is locked every time I turn the phone on. But I need to keep my phone locked whenever it's not in use and it seems like a hassle to have to turn the phone off and back on every time I use it just to get it locked. Does anyone know of a quicker way?

I bought the right memory card, microSD/TransFlash 512 MG. It came with an adapter to fit into the SD card slot in my computer. I formatted it on my computer, transferred mp3 files onto it, and when I put it into the card slot in my phone, my card was not recognized. I don't even get the option to format the card on the phone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Looked at this phone for USCC - They call it the LG now but it is not up to my expectations.

It is a decent phone for last year but not what I would call state of the art now.
I was not satisfied with Samsung still using its own connector instead of a mini or micro USB connector. I mean isn't it time to start standardizing these things? Lets get with the 21st century Samsung!!!!!

Whats with the fake flash window? That is so cheezy! when I saw it I thought it had two flash LED's for killer low light capabilities and was shocked to find one of them is a fake for styling purposes. PHONEY is not a good thing in a phone. I mean why did they not folllow through on this?

Also OK whats with phones with cameras and USB connectors not ...

Sounds like a nice CDMA phone but details are fuzzy - for example Samsung says this phone is an XM satellite receiver. The one review already posted points to software issues at this time also. Hope to see this on USCC some day soon.

Does anyone elses backlight stay on during the entire charge process? None of my other phones have done this. And there is no charge complete notification? So I just assume that it is done charging when the battery bar stops blinking? Even then, the backlight stays on. Could this possibly be good for the phone if you forget to take it off the charger??? Thanks!!
