Samsung status LEDs?
It seems that no new Samsung handsets being released from this point on have status LEDs. Is this a cost cutting measure? How expensive can a few LEDs cost...?
Overseas User
Hi,
Can this phone be used outside USA? I saw this phone here and attracts me a lot, thought of getting it. But I am from Singapore.

1st time 1st thread
710 SE looks pretty nice. available yet?
note data capable?
according to the phonescoop details, the T519 isn't data capable. can someone confirm that is true? it seems like an odd feature for samsung to lose.
even stranger is that samsung USA doesn't have anything on their website about the phone...

$279.99 without contract
😳
$279.99 without contract, $149.99 with 2-year (for me).
I just called a local T-Mobile store (Lenox Mall in Atlanta) and they said that I could buy a T519 for $279.99 without contract.
I just renewed my contract for an SDA in March, and they said I could purchase one for $149.99 with a 2 year contract.
Ya whatever, I'll just buy one for $150 to $200 on eBay in two weeks.

View...Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PDF files?
My Samsung users guide states that: Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PDF files can be viewed on the T519. My phone shows the file name in "other files" but will not open the file for viewing. Does anybody know if it is possible to actually view these files?

A2DP ?
Does anyone know how to get the A2DP(Stereo Bluetooth) to work?
I have a stereo headset, paired it with the phone. It works fine for phone calls, but it will not play music through the headphones.
Hopefully someone can help.

THIS PHONE ROX!!!
its not firewalled at all...mp3 tones and all the java games you want...way better than my T809 which I sold and even made money on. Way to go T-Mobile for not crippling this phone! 😁 😁 😁
How is the Reception?
Does it suck like Motorola or is it good like Nokia

PC Sync
I am interested in this phone, but I am interested in how it syncs with outlook.
Has anyone installed the Samsung PC Sync software that comes with the phone and tried to sync calendar and contacts? Specifically I would like to know if recurring (repeating) appointments transfer from Outlook to the phone's calendar? Recurring appointment example: A meeting on the third Tuesday of every month.
Changing Shortcuts?
Is there any way to change the shortcuts on the phone? The 2 soft keys at the top in particular. thanks!
Now Available on Tmobile.com
Not bad for $99 with a 2 year contract. Has anyone actually made calls with this phone? How's the reception? I heard that Samsung makes crappy phones for the GSM market. If the phone doesn't work well as a phone, who cares how thin or how many features it has...... 🙄

Still no ringer profiles?
I didn't see anything about ringer profiles (other than quick silent/vibrate by pressing # like Samsungs have always had. Why does Samsung refuse to use ringer profiles?
it's the BOMB~~~~
it's the bomb baby~~~ if t629 is too expensive i'm going with this one.. or just wait couple months... it'll drop down (the t629 not this one) i like the t629 a lot but this is really attractive phone... GO SAMSUNG!!! you guys did it again!!! you kicked Motorola's ASS!!! yes~!!! just compare it.. t519 vs SLVR... clearly... t519 is the winner!!!! i heard this is going to be 99.99 with 2 yr contract.. NOT BAD!!! so i'm guessing i can get it for 249.99 w/o contract!!! i wish i can get my hands on this right now 😁
