Could I watch my own videos?
Heyas, could I use the Maxx as a video player if I transfered my own videos with a SD card? If so what codecs and resolutions does the Maxx support and how's the video quality? If not does anyone have any suggestions on phones that I could use
Verizon UI
I hate the Verizon UI. I currently have a Motorola E815 and I love the UI. I expect the Ve to have the standard Verizon UI is this true? Do they at least have different themes to get away from the ugly red standard? Have there been any improvements over the past few years? The UI is may be enough to get me to switch carriers.

Pocket, Pouch, or Case?
Hey everyone, just wondering how everyone carries there cell phone. Do you put it in your pocket, carry it in a pouch, or do you have a case made for the phone. Sometimes i put it in a pouch and sometimes i put it in my pocket. All depends on what im doing and where im going.
How do you carry your phone?
signal bars
I just got the maxx and noticed the signal bars are always 1 less than my slvr was. It show 3 1x bars when my slvr showed 4 and the evdo bars are always 3 or less, it never shows 4 where my slvr would. Is this normal and acceptable or do I have a bad phone? Thanks.

Separation in your Maxx Ve frame?
First, I've had this phone for three weeks now and really like it. I will give my review in a couple of days or so.
But I have one question for all the Maxx Ve owners: at the top of the phone and on the sides, is there a slight separation between the back cover and the main part of the phone? On mine there is a slight separation through which I can just see into my phone. I checked at my local Verizon store, and the two I checked also had the separation on both sides.
Should I be nervous?
Couldn't dust get into the phone through it? Does yours have it?

charging location
I read somewhere (probably in someone's review) that the charger is in the same location as the headset jack. Is this the same as on the LG VX8700? One of the reasons I'm trading that phone in to try this one is because, being a guy with no fingernails......... I can't for the life of me get that little door open on the side of the phone to get to the charging port without tools of some kind. My old Moto (oval-ish flip, black with silver sides...) just had it on the bottom. Easy enough.
Oh, and why is Moto taking away the easy, simple stuff like being able to change the ringer from the outside of the phone? LG didn't offer that either. What gives?

Saw the Maxx today...can't decide
whether or not to buy it. I like the phone but still wonder if the lg8600 is a bit nicer. The MAXX is nice until you open it and those hideous red bars are there. I suppose I'd get used to it. The 8600 has a much nicer appearance and even has nicer wallpapers and such.
Anyone have any opinions on which would be a better choice? I realize that it's hard with the MAXX just coming out today.

Issues with Camera
Hoping somebody else has encountered same problems and can give advice. If I take and save a picture in the highest resolution, 1600 X 1200, I can view the photo in my gallery. But, if I select the picture for viewing it will not display. Instead I get an icon depicting a picture torn in half. This does not occur if I choose a resolution other than 1600 X 1200.
Secondly, when I select photos for viewing they appear at 60%, 75% or some other random percentage. I have to go to "Options" and select zoom to get the photo to display at 100%. This is a real pain in the neck when I'm scrolling because I have to repeat the same procedure for the same photo.
I thought maybe it was a memory issue, but I've still got plenty of memory left o...

Remove Verizon UI
ok, so we all hate the verizon UI...
How do i change to the REAL motorola one?
I pick up this phone 05/15/07
thanks for any help!
I miss the 815, where I could delay a txt msg.
where I didn't have to wait to send 1 msg before working on something else... it would just send in the back ground.
I was progress, the VZW UI is slowing the evolution of the cell phone.
Class action anyone?

PC Sync and Sync ML technologies
When doing comparisons with other phones, such as the SLVR L7c, this Maxx Ve phone does not appear to support the SYNC ML and PC SYNC technolgies. Has anyone experienced problems with these features?
Also...Are there any software programs to Sync a calendar to another calendar (not overwrite, APPEND!) using only phone to phone, such as an infared or bluetooth technology? I don't want my PC to have anything to do with it, just want to put two phones down together, hit a button, and have the calendars sync up by applying all entries from one calendar onto the other, and vice versa.
Thanks much folks,
Playing individual ring tones
Can this phone ring and vibe at the same time, AND play individual ring tones assigned to different contacts? I currently have a K1m that will ring and vibe at the same time, but will only play the default ringtone. I'd like to know if the Maxx has the same problem. Thanks!

Delay in handset ringing
Good Afternoon,
I recently ordered 2 LG 8700's from a VZW and they went back. The caller was hearing 3-6 rings before the handset would ever ring. I am looking at the RAZR Maxx now and was wondering if any of you had expierenced anything like this with the RAZR Maxx? I have never expierenced this problem before and VZW had no explaination either. My 2 current handsets (LG7000 and Moto E815 are ringing by the time the caller hears the 2nd ring at the most usually the first. Thansk for any information you may have

Is your vibrate real soft? I carry my phone in shirt pocket. I can barely feel it. Is this normal? Is there a way to make it be a stronger vibration?
Thanks in advance.

New maxx Ve owner - questions
Hi everyone! I just upgraded my old beat-up E815 for maxx Ve. I liked E815 and so far I love the new maxx Ve!
I am trying the GPS navigation option and I really like it.
I have few questions:
1. Are there any nice looking cases that will fit the maxx Ve and will not hide the beauty of it? Should I just use a clip? I wonder what cases are you using...
2. I would like to get some of my MP3 on the phone to set as a ringer and also to play. Please let me know how I can do this. Should I purchase a memory card or a special kit? Where can I get a converter to be able to use the regular earphones (the ones from iPod or other players)?
3. When I connect the phone to the bluetooth car speaker and use the phone as a navigation system,...

Clock size
I use my phone to keep track of the time. Is the clock on the front really as microscopic as people say it is and as it looks? Why does Verizon go out of their way to screw up something that can be useful!? I take it there's no way to make it larger?
