if i use the wifi on my dash... would i be charged??

No, your not going to be charged from t-mobile. If you go somewhere like mcdonalds or starbucks, you will might have to pay to have wifi access but a regular wifi connection is free. (aka home). If you try to use the data connection instead of wifi, you still will NOT be charged. You just won't be able to get anywhere. They don't charge by the kb like cingular/att. Either you pay for the data connection (edge or gprs) and have access or you don't pay and don't get access to the web.
You do have access to the t-zones portal. That is free and you can use that to manage things like your myfaves or callertunes. You can get there by going to the t-zones application.
