Getting Charged for Internet Data Usage on Tmobile Dash ???
i recently signed up with a Dash today and i only signed up with just a phone service plan WITHOUT any unlimited data internet plan option. lets say if i try surfing the internet with my dash, then will tmobile automatically charge me with any data fees like cingular chargers 10 cents to kilobyte without my authorization?? im trying not to pay for any internet fees since i am relying on the internal wifi.

Without a data plan I don't think you will be able to surf the internet. It will probably just give you an error message. There are 2 data plans you can choose....the unlimited internet costs $29.99 and includes ability to connect to t-mobile hotspots without any further charge. The basic data plan costs $5.99 and allows you to use internet explorer to view almost any web page but the time you are connected will deduct from your plan minutes. I believe the alternative to both plans is to turn on the Wi-fi and connect to a wireless network (assuming a network isn't encrypted).

the 5.99 tzones does not take away from your minutes, whomever told you that was wrong grooks...i work for t-mobile and it never takes away from your minutes...the only thing bad about the 5.99 is that it is a quick fix by changing the settings on your dash, yet you always have the chance of tmobile changing the settings and you will no longer to use it until somebody figures out which port to use

yea i love it i have t-zones and i have full internet hahaha screw the 29.99 data package way to much for someone to just use internet on the go lol

thats very weird because i dont have any data or internet plans...i turn on the wi-fi and as soon as i get a connection i am able to surf any website....do i get charged for this tho?

hahaha no you dont get charged for using wifi at all.......... and yes you get pretty much full data with the tzones and tmobile knows of it... i doubt they will fix it i hope they dont haha... and if you use a wifi connection its all free......

and u are right i did not get charged at all and the internet is fast and i go to any website....so as long as you have the wifi connection, there are no internet charges....now my other question is going on aim....is it a data charge or a text message charge?
