Does anyone know if the Dash will be 3G compatible?

hey is it possible to use aim on the dash without buying any internet services?

T-mobile told me that I can only use the Wifi to surf the web on the Dash if I get there hotspot internet data plan. Does anyone know how to make it so I can use the wifi free by using my personal wifi in my house or at work and not have to use the T-mobile hotspot?

I just got my Dash a couple of days ago, and i noticed that i can see what people text to me but the message i send back does not show up. Am i missing something? is there some setting i can change? It gets annoying if you are trying to read a whole conversation but you only have one side.

I wanna help, here are a few cool tweaks for this Xcelent Phone

First you need the registry editor, onece you download it from here

1. Copy the regeditSTG.exe to the root directory of your storage card using a DIRECT card reader/writer FROM YOUR PC. You CANNOT copy this file to your phone using the explore option from activesync. If you do not have a microSD reader/writer for your PC, you're out of luck, sorry.

2. Put the microSD back in your phone, and open regeditSTG from file manager.

3. Change the following values as per previous WM5 installations

Shut Off the Beep that Occurs When a Call Is Initiated
4. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategorie s\InC all2

I ordered my first Dash 😁 and I was wondering if it can do real time gps. I have not found any info on this yet.

Jus got my phone, lovin it, i had a 8525 before. I wanted to know if there was a limit to the size of micro sd card that the phone can use. I have a 6gb micro and its not showin up in the menu.

I want to know if theres a better browser than the Internet Explorer that comes with it.Mainly i want to be able to set up my own hompages, any help would be great!!!

Hi everyone,
I've been having a problem for the last few days. While using IE, the phone will just turn itself off without warning. Then after turning it back on, the battery level will decrease by one bar. This happened twice today. The battery had two bars, it shut off, I powered it on, then it had 1 bar. It shut off a second time, then after it came back on, it went down to low battery. Why is this happening and how do I prevent it? I charge the battery to full each morning, and why does using IE cause it to shut down?

Hello, I am considering this phone as well as the WING and was wondering a few things. For Dash users:

1 does this phone work well with editing word and excel documents?

2 I plan on getting the data plan but not initially. Do my question is do you have to pay for the data plan in order to use WiFi?

3 When you use AIM or messenger services on the dash does it require data plan and does it charge per text msg? if so are there applications that would allow you to use messengers without deducting txt msgs but just uses data?

4 Does anyone know of a 3rd party application website?

Hello, I plan on switching to T-mobile soon, and I'm looking at several phones. For those of you who have the Dash...

1. How is the feel of the keyboard?
2. Is it a phone that functions quickly, or does it lag?
3. Is the phone durable, or does it break after just one drop?

And lastly, what do you think of it overall... whould you go with anything different?

I am a huge HTC fan, and a casual phone user just bought the dash on T-Mo and I really like this phone!

I want to get an unbranded one and use it on AT&T, so I basically want to know if this phone is worth getting or not???

Its rather old... but it seems to do a lot and very easy to use!

I am currently using a Treo 750, so should I keep the 750 or what??

Aside from a price difference of close to $25, what's the difference between the Unlimited T-mobile Web ($5) and the T-mobile Total Internet ($30)? Thanks for any help.

it worked on wm5 but since my upgrade to wm6
now it don't work and does not have an option to add voice tag names in

I am trying to use streaming from youtube, or playing a WMA or WMV file from my t-mobiel dash .. and it doesn't work.
Youtube/tinytube: error related to rtsp
WMA/WMV: i copied the file from my XP .. do i need to run any conversion prior to copying them?

Also .. is there any option to change the default homepage of the internet explorer in WM6? It seems to run to t-mobile website all the time.

i just got the new dash and i been triying i been able to download some mp4 and mp3 videos to the storage card but i get tis mesage .THERE IS NO APPLICATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS VIDEO RU THE APPLICATION FIRST AND THEN OPEN THIS FILE INSIDE THE APLICATION.
any ideas on why i get this message with all mi videos ? thx
