BlackBerry 8703e
8703e as a modem
Is it the same as the National broadband?
I think the broadband is the same between both companies b/c they both use an evdo network. I'm just not sure if the broadband coverage is the same. If its not, Verizon probably has a more extensive network, but Verizon will probably cost $60-$70 for the phone as modem, PLUS the blackberry another $40-$50 per month.
I'm leaning towards sprint myself and will likely take them up on their '30 day guarantee'. Unfortunately I won't be able to travel the country in that time to know if the coverage is acceptable.

Does the 8703e work well as a modem? If so what kind of speed are you getting? What does Verizons wireless unlimited cost?

It works very well but there is 1 downside:
You cannot speak on the phone and use it as a modem at the same time. While you can receive a call when you are surfing the net, the voice path takes precedence and your internet stops until you hang up the active call.
I don't find that an issue but some might.
