Samsung SYNC SGH-A707

This phone was my first one. It had a ringtone that I especially adored.
I simply cannot remember its name.

Is there a place one can access this phone's built-in ringtones?

Is there anyway to delete all the stuff the cingular has preloaded on here. Like the Service #'s in the contact list or the graphics that I wont ever use and they are just taking up space?

I've got approx 500 contacts in Phone memory on my Nokia. I want to get the Synch and transfer my contacts from Nokia phone memory to Synch phone memory.

BUT - all my contacts won't fit on the SIM Card, at the store they say they can't transfer from memory-to-memory, Nokia software apparently won't talk to Samsung, and I'm sure not going to re-key all those contacts and / or BT them one at a time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated ...

does anyone have an idea how can I save all my contacts (phone numbers) that were saved on my phone onto my sim card or sd micro memory card 😕

I'd like to use my SYNC to access some Facebook apps - especially Mob Wars. It worked for a while, but now the right side of the page (and some important functions) are chopped off. I don't know if the app changed, or if I accidentally changed something on my phone. Can someone please help? Thanks!!

Hi -- I have a voicemail and a text message icon on my main screen. This just started; I can't get rid of them. I deleted recent text messages, and I have no voicemail messages.

Has any one else had this problem or can anyone suggest how to delete the erroneous icons?

I recently switched out a European SIM card and put an AT&T SIM card back in, but I don't know if that's connected to this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

I used to have the A707, but now I have a different phone (not by choice, I loved that samsung one...)

But the original tone that was custom for messaging on the phone was my absolute favorite. It kind of sounded like a 1970s sitcom segway. I want it on my new phone.

Can anyone tell me where to get it? I can't tell you what it was called because my A707 got stolen which is why I don't have it anymore.

Hello, I'm having an odd problem with my phone. When I get a new text message the notification from the phone says I have three new messages. So, if I have two unread messages it'll count the first one as three messages and the second one as just one message.

Is anyone else having this this problem? I'm curious because I don't know if I'm being billed for messages I'm not getting.

Does anyone know how to get the text messages off my phone. Either by some software or printing them somehow. The phone is not in my name so i can't go to the store.

I understand that to set a custom alert tone for text messages they need to be in an mmf file, that was converted from a wav file. I have went through the process multiple times and still when I get the tone transfered onto my phone and go to set it it says "invalid file". I would appreciate any help.. thanks.

Does anyone out there use this phone with their Mac? Is there a way to synch this phone with isynch this phone to a mac? It is not listed on the apple website but I know there are often "fixes" for this.

so.. i'm wondering what the specs are on receivable incomming picture and video texts.

it seems like about half of the picture texts i receive i just get a blank screen, I cant see the picture at all. am wondering why that is.. am guessing that the pic is too big to receive, but want to know what the size limits are?

Is there any way possible to see exactly how much battery life is left (like, for example, 98%, or 20%)? Just relying on the battery bars isn't enough -- often, my phone shows three bars for days, then goes directly to one bar and then shuts down right after that. I'd like to be able to see the exact percentage of charge left, if it's possible.

Can someone tell me if this phone allows voice dialing through the bluetooth?

Does anyone know how to play the 3GP videos taken by the phone, on a Windows XP PC ?

I transfereed the videos with PC Studio, from the phone into the PC but I can't get them to play on the PC because the 3GP file format is unrecognized. Help !

I also want to be able to edit the videos on the PC and post them on YOUTUBE if possible. Anyone tried that ?

Hello! I have had the sync for 3 weeks and am constantly having dropped calls which I neve had with motorola. Will it do any good to return the phone for another one or do they all have the same problem? Also does anyone know if those Antenna booster's help with that? Someone said to give that a try. Thanks

After the many dropped calls that I have had on a daily basis with this phone, I have decided to go ahead and exchange it for a different phone.

They are offering to replace it with the LG Trax or the Motorola V3XX, supposedly because those are the only two phones that fall under the "Best" category like the Sync.

Can anyone out there tell me which is the better phone out of the two? Or if they is another phone I should replace this phone with that AT&T will replace with?

I had to return my old Sync because I was having problems with it. When I selected the music player, I was able to select one of my playlists, start the music, and then press the "back" button to get back to the main screen, while my music was playing. The music ID showed on my main screen. On my replacement phone, I am unable to do that.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I called AT&T and they have no idea what I'm talking about, so they referred me to Samsung and they are unaware that their phone could do this.

Can anyone else's phone do this?
